The Fourth R provides complete career
training. The job market is continually changing. Your computer
skills need to be current for you to remain competitive in today's job
market. We offer the following career tracks for our technical students:

Computer Technician
An 8 week course designed for the individual with
a mechanical background. An intensive course to introduce students to all
aspects of a personal computer from hardware to software. The course is divided
into two sections, Core & Operating systems. Successful completion of the
course will enable students to repair personal computers with hardware and
software problems. This program includes the following areas of instruction:
Introduction to Microcomputers, Safety,
System components, Ports,
connectors, cables, Expansion boards,
Storage systems, Peripherals,
Networking, DOS/Windows,
Windows networking, Troubleshooting

— Network Administrator
A 6 week course designed for the individual with
an interest in developing and maintaining computer networks. Selection is based
on assessment testing and personal interview. Successful completion of the
course will give the student the necessary skills needed design, implement, and
maintain a computer network. This program includes the following areas of
instruction:
Basic networking knowledge, Servers
& Clients, Protocols, Data
link layer, Data transmission, Network
layer, Transport layer, TCP/IP
